On October 22nd Sarnia Girls Soccer Club held our Annual General Meeting, during this meeting we had the pleasure to recognize some great members from the past year.
We awarded our John MacIntyre Memorial Bursary to Tahlia Kelch. This bursary is awarded to a player who is enrolled or intending to enroll in post secondary education in the fall of the eligible year. The winner has to be a registered member of the club, with a GPA of 65% or higher, and must complete a short essay. Tahlia was chosen out of the three applicants this year.
Ryan Mclachlan and Wil Mejia were awarded the Lena Buchman Memorial Award for their coaching dedication and mentorship with the players in the past year. Both of them have volunteered their time over the past couple of years.
Sarnia Girls Soccer Club presented the Tom Ward Appreciation Award to Mel Kelly for her commitment to the club over the past year. Mel has been a long time player with the club and this year she wanted to be more involved.
